How is the Sports Equipment at Your Kid's School?

Currently at our local elementary schools, there are cracked, flat and useless basketballs, footballs, soccer and kick balls that our kids aren’t able to use.

Kids who don’t get to the balls quickly enough have to wait to catch the next game which they miss most of the time due to running out of time.

Some kids decide they are going to play no matter what, and are using deflated balls out of desperation. We can to do better than this!

Childhood obesity has more than tripled in the past 30 years. Kids desperately need to have as much exercise as possible these days without having to worry about limited access to equipment. It just doesn’t seem right that our kids don’t have the proper access to play.

Not all families have the means to put their children in organized sports due to costs and working full-time. With school budgets being cut to an all-time low and teachers being furloughed, it doesn’t look like there’s much hope for new sports equipment anytime soon. As it is, teachers are spending their own money for needed items in their classroom and janitors are the ones maintaining the poor-conditioned sports equipment once a week.

Let’s work together as a community to pool our resources and contacts so our kids can have access to quality sports equipment they deserve.
